Norway: Håkon Andreas Monsen

Two years ago, Norwegian guitarist Håkon Andreas Monsen made a discovery on the web page YouTube. This led to his first encounter with the peculiar and revolutionary guitar technique called airtap, which left a huge impression on him. Great guitarists like Erik Mongrain, Maneli Jamal and in particular Andy McKee came to be his new idols. 

Håkon is now 16 years old, and has been playing the guitar for 8 years. He attends high school at Kvitsund in the southern part of Norway, and made it all the way to the Norwegian national festival ("UKM-festivalen") before being selected for Imagine 2010. In Trondheim he will be playing "Cold Arrival" by Maneli Jamal.
